IMDS Services

Are you struggling with reporting your chemical compliance through the International Material Data System (IMDS)? If so, we can help get your product in the system so you are in compliance with reporting to the automotive industry.

I’m stuck on chemical reporting, please help!

PPAP Services

Most of our clients need help with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). This is the specialized quality documentation that the automotive industry requires in order to be able to supply to them. Most small businesses do not have someone they can dedicate to processing the quality paperwork (and why would they want to, it’s incredibly boring). We can work with you to understand your product and processes, and then process this paperwork so you don’t have to worry about it.

PEEP-a-what? I make a great quality product, I just want to get it approved.

Automotive “Culture Training”
– A.K.A. Passing Supplier Audits

If you want to supply the automotive industry, the odds of your customer coming to you for an audit are extremely high. If you are not prepared for the audit, the higher your risk of not becoming an approved supplier.

Here is what people think will happen doing business in the auto industry:
– You get the call from someone in the auto industry. They are interested in your product and samples. So you send some samples and the data that you have and then the purchase order will follow and within a little while, you will be shipping products and the money will come rolling in. Right?

What really happens:
– You get the call, you send samples. Then you send data and more samples, you arrange for testing at an outside lab, you go back and forth on price, color and other features. Then you have to supply an amount of paperwork that if it was actually on paper would consist of a small forest. Once all of that is done your customer says that they are going to “stop by for a visit” which is automotive for “I’m going to come in and audit you.” If you are not prepared for this audit, you run the risk of not becoming an approved supplier.

The good thing is that we can help you prepare for your customer audit, and work with your staff to prepare them for the way the auto industry looks at business.

I’m waving the white flag here – PLEASE HELP me with this!
